Police will conduct two sobriety checkpoints in Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The first checkpoint is from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. March 17, the second from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day.

Officials said signs will be placed in advance of the checkpoint site and police officers will direct traffic.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, the checkpoints will be held in areas known for alcohol-related crashes or DUI arrests.
