Raytown man killed in Lenexa traffic crash on Interstate 35 near 87th Street

A 61-year-old Raytown man was killed in a Tuesday night traffic crash on Interstate 35 in Lenexa.

Robert Pugh was killed about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the wreck that occurred in the northbound lanes of the interstate just south of the 87th Street overpass, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

According to the patrol, Pugh’s 2009 Pontiac Vibe struck the rear of a semi-trailer.

The Mississippi truck driver and a passenger were not injured.
