KC’s warm weather to last through the end of the workweek
Kansas City’s run of above-normal temperatures is likely to continue through the end of the week and into next.
Afternoon highs in Kansas City are expected to be in the upper 60s to low 70s on Wednesday through Friday.
There is a chance of rain late Thursday into Friday, although southern and eastern Missouri have the best chance of receiving measurable rain, according to the National Weather Service.
There will be a brief cooldown Saturday, with highs reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s, which will still be 5 to 10 degrees above average.
The 70-degree weather, however, will return on Sunday and Monday.
A cold front is expected to move through the area Tuesday, possibly ending the stretch of above-average temperatures. The coldest air will remain to the east of Kansas City, according to the National Weather Service.
