Critical injuries reported in Overland Park wreck

A driver was critically hurt in a late Tuesday night traffic crash that left his car sheared in half.

Overland Park police said the two-vehicle crash occurred about 11 p.m. at 135th Street and Quivira Road.

One driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from a vehicle, police said.

The other driver sustained minor injuries.
