Benefit planned for wounded Wyandotte County deputy

A pancake breakfast to benefit wounded Deputy Scott Wood is planned for Friday morning at the Wyandotte County Courthouse.

Wood has been hospitalized since being shot multiple times during a March 4 convenience store robbery in Kansas City, Kan.

The breakfast will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday in the hallway of the courthouse at 710 N. 7th Street in downtown Kansas City, Kan.

A $5 donation is suggested.
