Spring-like weather to continue this week in Kansas City

Mother Nature must have made a mistake and set her clock forward a month.

The weather this week in Kansas City will feel more like mid-April than mid-March.

Starting on Monday, highs this week will be in the 60s to lower 70s.

Highs Monday will be a little cooler with highs reaching the low 60s.

Temperatures will rebound, however, with highs running in the upper 60s to low 70s from Tuesday through Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to retreat a little, falling to the lower 60s on Friday. There’s a slight chance of rain also.

The weekend is likely to see temperatures in the 50s to low 60s.

As the Kansas City area moves into the middle of March, the likelihood of a snowfall of an inch or greater greatly diminishes — at least that’s what the climatological odds show.

For this year’s winter season, which ended Feb. 28, Kansas City had 13.7 inches of snow. That was slightly more than an inch below the normal of 14.8 inches.
