Police investigate body found in Kansas City lake

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found in Troost Lake in Kansas City Wednesday morning.

The body was discovered floating in the lake near 27th Street and The Paseo about 8:15 a.m. A dispatcher confirmed the person was deceased.

Emergency crews were in the area and police were blocking streets surrounding the lake.
