Munday on Monday: Heat wave

I answered the question (which left me perplexed)

Eleven times Friday, and twenty the next;

The day after that, why, I truly lost count,

But everyone’s asking; the query will mount.

Innocuous question, an innocent sort;

As temperature rises, our tempers grow short.

The answer (before you can even begin)

Is yes! The affirmative! Surely! You win!

So ask not this question, which waits like a trap:

“Is it hot enough for ya?”…I likely will snap!
