Pedestrian critical after struck by a vehicle

A woman was critically injured when she was struck by a vehicle Friday near 41st Street and Prospect Avenue in Kansas City.

The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Emergency crews initially were told there was a child stuck under the vehicle but that was unfounded.
