Area’s second possible heat-related death reported

The Kansas City Health Department said Friday that the Jackson County medical examiner’s office is investigating the death of a man in his mid-50s as possibly heat-related.

There has been one confirmed heat-related death so far summer, according to the health department. The victim was a man in his early 60s.
