Police said an adult had moderate injuries and a juvenile had life-threatening injuries after a Tuesday afternoon wreck in Independence.

Independence police said a juvenile suffered life-threatening injuries in a Tuesday afternoon crash.

Police said the juvenile was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed into a tree just before 3 p.m. Tuesday on Lexington Avenue near Cedar Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle suffered what police called moderate injuries.

Police said the vehicle was westbound on Lexington and was speeding before the wreck.
