Day-after-Christmas fire damages south Kansas City home

The occupants of a south Kansas City home will need to find someplace to stay when they return after an early morning fire Monday significantly damaged the house.

Fire crews responded to neighbors’ calls about the fire around 6:30 a.m. and found no one was home at the house near 103rd Street and Wheeling Avenue.

The fire department had no information on the occupants of the house Monday morning.
