An apartment fire at a Liberty complex late Monday injured a few residents and displaced about two dozen others.
The fire was reported shortly after 9 p.m. at a building in the Wilshire Apartments complex in the 200 block of Belmont St.
The fire caused heavy damage to one of the apartment units, but also damaged two of the building’s floors.
Firefighters rescued residents from one of the upper floors of the building, according to media reports.
A few of the residents were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The number of those injured and the extent of their injuries were not immediately available.
The fire displaced about two dozen people living in the building.
