Shawnee teen killed in rollover wreck was not wearing seat belt
A Shawnee teenager who was killed Friday night after losing control of his pickup truck on Kansas 7 was not wearing a seat belt, authorities said Saturday.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol accident report, 17-year-old Sterling Franzwa was driving northbound on Kansas 7 just south of Clear Creek Parkway about 11:45 p.m. Friday when he lost control of the Ford F-150.
The truck rolled over several times before it came to a rest, according to the report.
The report said Franzwa was not buckled up.
Weather or road conditions were not listed as factors in the accident.
