Man’s body pulled from Big Eleven Lake in KCK
Wyandotte County authorities pulled a man’s body from Big Eleven Lake on Monday morning.
The man’s age and race could not be determined, said Lt. Kelli Bailiff of the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy should be completed by Tuesday, she said.
The sheriff’s office, which patrols the county’s parks, received a call regarding a floating body in the lake just after 10 a.m., Bailiff said. Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department personnel retrieved the body shortly after that, said Craig Duke, fire department deputy chief.
The lake is just east of North 11th Street between State Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
