Munday on Holiday: Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving approaches — my word!

Again, this dilemma occurred:

Is stuffing my wish

From a casserole dish

Or else scooped from the guts of the bird?

We’ll all get along if we try it —

(No politics talk, or of diet)

With relatives shuffled,

Personalities muffled…

As long as they’re eating, they’re quiet.

Forgive me for musing or guessing;

From meat of this day I’m digressing —

Not turkey (aw, shucks!)

Is at holiday’s crux;

But instead, let’s give thanks for each blessing.
