Suspicious death in Kansas City, Kan., basement ruled a drug overdose

The suspicious death of a man found Saturday in a basement in Kansas City, Kan., has been ruled a drug overdose.

The man in his 20s was found Saturday morning in the basement of a house in the 200 block of South Eighth Street where he was temporarily living, police said. The cause of death could not immediately be determined. But Police Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted Sunday that an autopsy had revealed the cause to be an overdose. The man was not immediately identified.
