Teen dies in fatal wreck in Blue Springs; two others injured
Blue Springs police are investigating a fatal wreck that killed a 15-year-old girl and injured two others.
The wreck occurred just after 3 p.m. Wednesday near 23rd Street and Opposum Hollow Road.
Police said the 15-year-old girl was a passenger in a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old male. A second teenage girl was also in the vehicle.
The teens reportedly attend Blue Springs South High School.
Attempts to reach a school district spokesperson on Wednesday were unsuccessful.
The injured teens were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover, police said.
