Overland Park police release the name of motorcyclist killed in wreck

Independence police are investigating a fatal shooting Sunday in the 1600 block of South Sterling Avenue. Police said one person was killed about 7:30 p.m. Police are looking for a white pickup truck with a gray camper shell.

Overland Park police have identified a 62-year-old motorcyclist who was killed Sunday in a wreck at West 119th Street and Lowell Avenue as David R. Estes of Overland Park.

The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. No other vehicles were involved.

The wreck remains under investigation, Overland Park police said.
