Police identify the two people killed in accident at U.S. 71 and Cleaver Boulevard

The two people killed Wednesday when an SUV crashed into a retaining wall on U.S. 71 and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard have been identified.

Dominique Bentley, 31, and Lautasha Bentley, 29, died when the Acura SUV they were in veered off the right shoulder of the road and struck a retaining wall. The SUV then crashed down on the exit ramp below

Another person in the car, identified as a 32-year-old Kansas City woman, was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition is unknown.
