Expect delays as left lane of westbound I-435 is closed in Johnson County

Drivers along westbound Interstate 435 have one less lane to use for the next 10 days.

To allow crews to construct two pier caps, the left lane of westbound I-435 between U.S. 69 and Interstate 35 will be closed.

The pier caps will support each of the new two-lane flyover ramps.

Drivers should expect major delays and consider using alternate routes during the closures.

The lane should reopen by 5 a.m. March 5, weather permitting.
