Fire damages Kansas City church

Firefighters battled a fire early Monday at a Kansas City church.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m. at the Kingdom Word Ministries at 3301 Cypress Ave., near the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

Bomb and arson crews were assisting in the investigation into the cause of the fire, according to media reports.
