Couple killed in Miami County wreck

A couple died Sunday in a traffic crash in rural Miami County, Kan.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Willis D. Hodgson, 78, and Beth E. Hodgson, 77. They lived in the town of Parker.

The crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Plum Creek Road, just north of 335th Street.

Their car was southbound on Plum Creek Road when it left the road, overturned and caught fire, according to the sheriff’s office.
