Kansas City man charged in Saturday night armed robbery

A Kansas City man was charged Sunday in the Saturday night armed robbery of a convenience store in south Kansas City.

Brandon G. Strozier, 28, faces charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said.

According to court records, a clerk at the 7-Eleven at 10615 Blue Ridge Blvd. said two men, one later identified as Strozier, entered the store and took a 12-pack of beer after one of them pulled a gun.

Later, police officers in the area, responding to a call of shots fired, saw the two men near 108th and Sycamore. Officers found a loaded 9 mm handgun on Strozier.
