A driver of a a Chevrolet Corvette died in a crash Monday night when he was ejected when the car overturned in a ditch in Riverside.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. as the driver was headed north on Northwest Tullison Road near Missouri 9 and Northwest Briarcliff Parkway.

The driver lost control of the Corvette and the car went off the road into a large ditch separating Tullison Road from Missouri 9. The car overturned, ejecting the driver, according to police.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Riverside police continue to investigate the crash. The identity of the driver was not being released until family could be notified.
