The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority has expanded bus service to the Metropolitan Community College — Maple Woods campus in Kansas City, North.

The transit agency added three northbound and five southbound trips to the 38-Meadowbrook route, which runs from downtown Kansas City, through North Kansas City and Gladstone to the college.

Instead of ending after the evening rush hour, bus service on the route ends at 11:30 p.m. The route benefits not only students using the service to get to and from class, but others along the route needing later service. For a map and schedule of the route, click here.

The route also has been renumbered to 238-Meadowbrook as part of a new numbering system for the Kansas City region’s transit network.

More than 4,600 students enrolled at the college are part of the U-Pass program, which allows students to use their college ID as a bus pass.
