KC police identify man killed in Sunday morning crash near 39th Street, Bellefontaine

Kansas City police have released the name of a 33-year-old man who was killed in a wreck early Sunday near 39th Street and Bellefontaine Avenue.

Christopher L. Franklin died after the car he was driving east on 39th Street left the road and struck a tree shortly after 3 a.m., according to police.

A passenger was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital.
