Independence traffic crash victim identified

Police on Tuesday identified a man killed in a Friday night traffic crash in Independence as 68-year-old Jimmy L. Waldren of Lake Tapawingo.

The crash happened on Interstate 70 just east of Little Blue Parkway.

According to Independence police, Waldren was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer that collided with a Honda SUV. He was ejected from the vehicle, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
