Rain to dissipate Wednesday, but showers return Thursday and Friday
The rain that slowed Tuesday morning’s commute is expected to end well before the drive home, but the rest of the week is expected to be soggy.
The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill forecasts a 60 percent chance of rain on both Thursday and Friday, beginning early Thursday morning and continuing through Friday night.
“No widespread severe weather is expected at this time but heavy rainfall is possible,” the weather service said.
Flooding concerns remain from northeastern Kansas to north central and northwestern Missouri.
Showers may continue into Saturday morning but the rest of the weekend should be dry, the weather service said.
