Walmart raises price of at-home COVID tests in some Kansas City stores
With COVID testing in high demand , Walmart recently raised the price of one of the tests it offers.
Abbott’s BinaxNOW COVID-19 rapid at-home test kit, the first test to be approved for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration, was available at Walmart for $14 and is now $19.88 at some Walmart locations in the Kansas City metro area.
Stores in Roeland Park and the Neighborhood Market in Westwood have the tests listed at the higher price. In contrast, the Walmart Supercenter in Raytown and the Neighborhood Market on Metropolitan Avenue are still listed at $14.
The prices will vary from store to store, so be sure to call your closest Walmart for more information and find out if they have any at-home COVID-19 tests in stock. You can also enter your ZIP code under the check availability nearby section to see which stores have them available and their prices.
