Six new coronavirus cases and one more death reported in Johnson County

Six new cases of the coronavirus and one more death were reported Tuesday morning in Johnson County.

The county has identified 446 cases including 40 deaths.

According to the Johnson County Health Department, 4,635 people have tested negative.

The positive test rate was 8.8%.

The most prevalent symptoms of patients who tested positive were cough, fever, shortness of breath and fatigue.

Johnson County has the third highest number of cases in Kansas behind Wyandotte County and Ford County.

Across Kansas, 3,328 cases have been confirmed, according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

The U.S. has reported more than 988,000 COVID-19 cases, data from Johns Hopkins University shows.
