Number of COVID-19 cases in Missouri climbs by more than 200 with 10 more deaths

The number of COVID-19 cases in Missouri jumped by more than 200 and 10 more deaths were reported, according to data released Saturday.

Across the state, 5,517 cases have been identified including 175 deaths.

St. Louis City saw the biggest jump from Friday to Saturday with 97 more cases, bringing its total to 808.

St. Louis County has recorded the most deaths with 80.

Kansas City saw its number of cases rise by 11 on Saturday to 412.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, more than 53,500 tests have been given.

Kansas said it had 1,790 coronavirus cases on Saturday.

Across the country, more than 716,000 cases have been reported, according to Johns Hopkins University. More than 58,000 people have recovered.
