Wyandotte County reports four new COVID-19 related deaths, 18 additional cases

Wyandotte County health officials on Friday reported four new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 35 deaths in the county.

As of Friday, there were 18 new confirmed cases of people testing positive for the coronavirus in Wyandotte County, bringing the total to 395 cases, according to data released by health officials Friday. That’s up from 377 cases reported Thursday.

The number of self-reported probable positive cases rose up to 218 cases, up from 206 on Thursday. It’s likely those people have the COVID-19 disease based on their symptoms, but they have not been tested.

Six more patients have been hospitalized for a total of 48, up from 42 hospitalizations on Thursday.

The number of patients hospitalized remained the same at 42.

The largest number of cases in Wyandotte County are in zip code 66112, with 141 confirmed cases. As of Thursday, 116 cases were linked to an outbreak at Riverbend Post Acute Rehabilitation, where 19 people have died and 10 are hospitalized.
