There were more than 250 new cases identified, a nearly 20 percent increase from the day before. There were also four additional deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 18.
Three of the new deaths were reported in Greene County, bringing the county’s total of deaths to 6 persons. The other new death was reported in Cass County, its first death.

Missouri has reported more than three times the coronavirus cases as Kansas, which reported 482 cases on Tuesday. Missouri, however, has conducted nearly three times more tests.
The coronavirus is projected to peak in Missouri on May 21, according to research from the University of Washington, which assumes full social distancing measures are in place through May.
However, Missouri, Gov. Mike Parson said Wednesday that he is not ready to implement a statewide stay-at-home order.
