Six coronavirus cases reported in Kansas City, health department announces

Six people in Kansas City have tested positive for COVID-19, the local health department said in a Twitter post Thursday.

All of the patients, three men and three women, are recovering in their homes, the Kansas City Health Department stated.

The individuals affected range in age from “30s to 60s,” the health department wrote.

An investigation is underway to determine who may have had close contact with the patients.

Cases were first confirmed in the city on Wednesday.

The health department has not released further information on any of the six cases that have been identified.

In Missouri, at least 28 cases have been reported as of Thursday and one person has died from the disease.
