Cerner hires executive for new position

Cerner Corp. said Tuesday that Jeff Hurst, senior vice president of finance at Florida Hospital in Orlando, will join Cerner on Sept. 1 in a new executive position.

Hurst will serve as senior vice president of Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and president of Cerner RevWorks, which provides revenue management services to health institutions.

Hurst, a U.S. Air Force veteran, holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master’s in business administration from Creighton University.
