Sprint pitches Black Friday deals to shoppers

Black Friday is back at Sprint both online and in stores as the company tries to attract shoppers while it offers a half-price wireless deal for the holidays.

The Overland Park-based wireless carrier launched its Black Friday specials in part to remind shoppers that there are plenty of accessories at its Sprint stores, including the newly converted RadioShack stops.

Sprint added more than 1,400 retail spots with the RadioShack deal, increasing its retail footprint by about half from a year ago.

This year’s line up includes sale prices on Fitbits and Vivofits, though the posted savings were not hard to duplicate online. There is a deal on headphones, too.

Sprint is going after wireless customers with a revamped half-off deal that promises to match most posted offers from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile at half the price. That offer ends Jan. 7.

Its Black Friday deals include lower lease rates on a Samsung Galaxy S6, and an HD TV with if you activate a new LG G4 device.
