Garmin names new chief financial officer

Garmin Ltd. on Monday said longtime chief financial officer and treasurer Kevin Rauckman will leave the company at the end of this year.

Rauckman, who has held those senior management positions since 1999, will be replaced by Doug Boessen, who most recently had been chief financial officer for shoe retailer Collective Brands Inc. Boessen has already joined Garmin and will assume his new duties on July 31.

Boessen will oversee financial planning, accounting, investor relations, treasury and internal audit functions at the Olathe-based maker of satellite-based navigation devices.

Rauckman is leaving to “pursue interests outside of Garmin,” the company said. He will remain with the company through the end of this year and will work closely with Boessen to ensure a smooth transition, Garmin said.
