AT&T expands high-speed Internet to Shawnee, Independence

AT&T on Tuesday said it has expanded its high-speed U-verse Internet service to residential and business customers in parts of Shawnee and Independence.

The company has been rolling out U-verse in the metropolitan area, including Kansas City, Leawood, Lenexa, Olathe and Overland Park. AT&T said the service is expected to be available soon in parts of Fairway, Prairie Village and Mission Hills.
