Olathe-based NIC Inc. has launched what it believes is the first official government application for the Apple Watch.

The company, which develops websites and other online services for governments, said its Gov2Go app helps Apple Watch users track government deadlines in a personalized calendar and sends reminders for things such as paying property taxes, and renewing vehicle registration tags.

Gov2Go, which was developed by NIC’s Arkansas subsidiary, was originally launched as a mobile app in both the App Store and Google Play. It is also available at www.getgov2go.com.
