Leawood-based Euronet Worldwide Inc. on Monday announced the acquisition of a United Kingdom-based ATM company for an undisclosed sum.

YourCash Europe Ltd. operates about 5,000 automatic teller machines in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland. Its revenues last year totaled about $43 million at an average 2015 exchange rate for the British pound.

“After years of excellent organic growth and expansion into new markets, we are excited to be able to leverage Euronet’s global scale, value added product portfolio, technology, industry expertise and financial strength to further expand our business,” YourCash chief executive and principal owner Jenny Campbell said in an announcement of the sale.

Euronet, independent of the YourCash purchase, operates a network of 26,000 ATMs and provides services to 185,000 ATMs, as well as provides electronic payment and money transfer services.
