CommunityAmerica will pay $7 million to members

CommunityAmerica Credit Union on Wednesday announced a $7 million profit payout to its members.

The Lenexa-based credit union said the payout will equal an average of $90 per qualifying household.

This is the fourth consecutive year the not-for-profit credit union has returned at least $5 million to its members. The payouts are based on use of the credit union’s products and services along with account balances.

CommunityAmerica had about 200,000 members and more than $2 billion in assets at the end of 2015. It has 27 branches in the Kansas City area and one in St. Louis.
