The Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator, at 210 W. 19th Terrace in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, is open to the public from 3 p. m. to 7 p. m. Wednesday.

Sprint partnered with Techstars, which runs similar business start up programs in several markets, to form accelerator focused on connecting health care and mobile devices.

Organizers are winnowing a list of nearly 300 applicants to 10 young businesses that will gain access to funding, technology, expertise, investors and executive mentors.

The site also will be available to Kansas City’s entrepreneurial community for co-working space and for collaboration, mentoring and similar sessions.
