Schwab enhances Kansas 529 college savings plan
Charles Schwab’s 529 college savings plan, one of three programs administered by the Kansas Treasurer’s office, has added six new investment options for customers.
The new investment plans, enacted earlier this month, are made up of different allocations in six indexed mutual funds. Customers can also continue to choose from Schwab’s existing actively managed mutual fund portfolios.
In addition to the Schwab 529 plan, Kansas also offers the Learning Quest and Learning Quest Advisor college savings plans. Kansas City-based American Century Investments manages the Kansas 529 program.
