Ohio-based smoothie chain to open first Kansas location in Johnson County
An Ohio-based smoothie bar is opening its first location in Johnson County.
Pulp, a juice and smoothie bar, is set to open at 8814 Maurer Road, near the Meddys Lenexa location, according to an announcement on its website.
Pulp offers juices and more than 30 smoothies including Strawberry Extreme (strawberry juice, strawberries, pineapple sorbet, yogurt), Mango Tango (passionfruit-mango juice, mangos, orange sherbet) and Ultimate Acai (premium organic acai, strawberry juice, mangos, blueberries, yogurt, chia seeds), according to the menu.
Pulp also offers several bowls including The Dragonfruit Bowl (dragonfruit, raspberries, mangos, almond milk, strawberry juice), wraps like the Asian Chicken Wrap (tender chicken breast, cucumber, shredded carrots, romaine lettuce, and sesame ginger dressing) and salads.
The franchise was founded by Thom Knepp in 2005 as a way to offer quick healthy meals. Now, there are more than 65 locations across five other states.
No official date for the opening in Lenexa has been set.
