Popular women's fashion brand will make its KC-area debut on the Plaza

A popular women’s boutique store will make its Kansas City debut in 2026, though only for a limited time.

LoveShackFancy announced that it will open a pop-up store on the Country Club Plaza at 319 Nichols Road next year, the former Casper mattress store.

The vintage-inspired lifestyle brand has 21 stores worldwide, 450 retail partners, and collaborations with brands like Gap, Stanley, Pottery Barn, and more, according to its website.

“We are thrilled to welcome LoveShackFancy to both Country Club Plaza and Kansas City,” Chris Harren, senior vice president of development for Gillon Property Group and the Plaza, said in a press release. “Bringing in unique, one-of-a-kind retailers is core to our mission, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact this world-renowned brand will bring to the community.”

LoveShackFancy will be the new neighbors of State & Liberty, a men’s clothing store that offers dress clothes with an athletic fit.

The Plaza has not said when in 2026 the pop-up will make its way to the Plaza, nor how long it will be there.

A representative from the Plaza told The Star in an email that there are conversations happening about eventually having a permanent home for LoveShackFancy on the Plaza.
