A Johnson County Asian fusion restaurant of at least nine years is closing, but its timeline remains up in the air.

Asian Pearl, 18138 W. 119th St. in Olathe, announced via social media that it will close “in the near future.”

“Your support has meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for every visit, smile, and story over the years,” the restaurant said in a post.

Fans mourned the restaurant online.

“So sad . . Your food is the best!” wrote one customer on Facebook.

“We moved out of the area years ago but you were always the go to! Will have to make one last visit for those rangoons,” said another.

Asian Pearl is still currently open.

The Star on Wednesday briefly spoke with the restaurant owner, who said there was an issue with the lease. It will close in less than a year.

For now, it’s still serving menu options like sesame chicken, moo shoo pork, Mongolian beef and more.

Miles away in Overland Park, a new pan-Asian restaurant is opening soon in a former Applebee’s.

The new concept — created by the owners of Magic Noodle — will serve dishes from Thailand, Japan, China, Vietnam and beyond. Fittingly, its name will be All In One Eatery. Its sister location will be up north at 8654 N. Boardwalk Ave.
