Tim Hortons — a beloved Canadian doughnut chain — has set an opening date for its Blue Springs location.

The new shop will celebrate the grand opening of its 1900 NW Highway 7 shop Saturday, June 21, according to a news release from the company. It’s the company’s first in the Kansas City area.

That day, customers can enjoy hot or iced coffee for 99 cents, or a 10-pack of the brand’s famous Timbits (doughnut holes) for $1.

Guests who download the Tim Hortons app and sign up to be a rewards member can also receive one small hot or small iced coffee every day for a month.

“We’re so proud to be opening our first restaurant in Kansas City soon, and we wanted to thank the community for the warm welcome we’ve already received by offering them a free coffee on us every day for a month,” Tim Hortons U.S. President Katerina Glyptis said in a news release.

The chain began in Ontario in 1964. It opened its first U.S. location in Buffalo, New York, in 1984.

Today, it’s the largest chain in Canada (there’s a Tim Hortons for every 10,000 Canadians) and one of the largest in North America. Tim Hortons has 6,000 locations globally and is rapidly expanding across the U.S., where it has more than 600 stores.

The brand first announced the upcoming Kansas City area location last May. It’s taking over a former Burger King, serving famous items like the Double Double (a coffee with two creams and two sugars).

Tim Hortons recently launched a loaded scrambled egg breakfast in partnership with Vancouver-born actor Ryan Reynolds.
