Want a celeb-endorsed workout? New KC gym will be backed by ‘Friends’ star
Kansas Citians who’ve ever desired to look like actress Jennifer Aniston will soon be able to replicate her workout routine.
Strength-training fitness studio Pvolve is opening its first Kansas City area studio. A-list “Friends” star Aniston has been a strategic partner with the company since 2023.
Pvolve announced Thursday that it had signed a lease at 4150 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Fairway.
The 1,800 square foot studio is set to open in late 2025.
Started in 2017, the New York-based company focuses on low-impact strength training. Equipment includes a yoga-like “precision mat,” resistance bands, ankle weights, floor gloves and more.
According to the company’s website, Anniston had been streaming Pvolve’s workout videos since 2021 after receiving back injury. A few years later, she decided to get involved in the company.
“I love that I can get an efficient total body workout in just 20 minutes,” she shares in a video on the web page.
Pvolve has more than two dozen studios open or in development across the country.
There are several other specialty workout studios in the Kansas City area: BodyBar Pilates, Pure Barre, The Body Lab, CycleBar and Core Strong Fitness are a few.
