After months of preparation, the lights are on at a new cafe in Westport.

A few items on the menu at Tiffany Bakery: bánh mì, lattes, coffee bread and moose cake. The new spot serves European, American and Asian sweets, drinks and lunch items.

Owner Tram Dreasler, who’s also called Tiffany, quietly opened her first business Thursday after years of perfecting her favorite cake recipes at home. Now she’s looking forward to giving the public a taste.

“I’ve loved baking my whole life,” she told The Star, sitting at a table inside the cafe Friday. “I’d stay home and bake all the time for my kids.”

The location at 4111 Pennsylvania Ave. will have fewer offerings until her grand opening on May 28, where she’ll unveil the full menu. It will have dozens of sweets Americans love, and many they may have never tried.

“At first I thought, ‘I can do everything,’” she said. “I just decided to work one item by one item … to see what cake products they love to have.”

Dreasler is taking over the old GoCha Tea space. The boba shop left the spot at the end of last year.

Hailing from Vietnam, Dreasler will have items from her home country, including xôi mặn sticky rice for lunch.

German jelly doughnuts (called Krapfen, also known as Berliners) and French choux pastries are also on the menu. To drink: hot and cold coffee, matcha frappe, brown sugar boba and more.

She’ll see what else customers are craving. Dreasler is eager to please.

“I love to see people eat and be happy with my cake,” she said.

Nearby at 4117 Pennsylvania Ave., Korean restaurant Chingu will close in the space as Mexican-American AR’s Breakfast & Brunch moves in.
